Lester Earl Pasma Jr., 71, died Tuesday morning, May 11 at his sister's residence due to cancer.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 15 at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. Inurnment with military honors by Fergus American Legion Post. No. 16 will be at Lewistown City Cemetery.

LEWISTOWN - Lester Earl Pasma Jr., 71, a Navy veteran and retired railway worker died of cancer Tuesday at his sister's home.
A memorial service will take place 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, followed by burial of ashes with military honors in Lewistown City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Central Montana, 629 N.E. Main, Lewistown, MT 59457. Creel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Dec. 29, 1927, in Havre. He attended school at Cleveland, south of Chinook, and served in the Navy from 1944-47. He was a mechanic for Burlington Northern Railroad until retiring in 1989.
He married Elva Jean Newman March 29, 1957, in Lewistown; she died in 1996.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include two daughters, Penny Mumper of Missoula and Patty Pasma of Lewistown; four sons, John Pasma of Helena, Ron Pasma of Kennewick, Wash., Tom Pasma of Bow, Wash., and Bob Pasma of Fort Shaw; a sister, Helen Plovanic of Lewistown; ans 12 grandchildren.

Pasma was born Dec. 29, 1927, in Havre, to Lester Earl and Frances ?(Inman) Pasma. He recieved his education at Cleveland.
He served in the U.S. Navy from February 1944to November 1947.
On March 29, 1957, he married Elva Jean Newman in Lewistown.
Pasma worked as a mecahnic for the Burlington Northern Railroad until his retirement in 1989.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elna, in 1996, his parents, and a brother-in-law Dick Plovanic.
Survivors include daughters, Penny Mumper of Missoula and Patty Pasma
of Lewistown; sons, John Pasma of Helena, Ron Pasma of Kennewick, Wash.,
