William LaTray Funeral Held June 20th

William LaTray passed away at St. Ann's Hospital in Anaconda, following a lengthy illness. He had been a resident of Anaconda since 1953.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday morning, June 20th from St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Chinook, and interment was in the Chinook cemetery.

William LaTray was born December 15, 1890 at Fort McGinnis in Fergus County. He was the son of Mose and Susan LaTray.

He came to Blaine County in 1910 and worked for Miller Brothers for several years. Later he homesteaded south of Zurich before moving into Chinook in 1942. He was an old time cowboy and rode with Harry and Mike Green from Big Sandy.

William LaTray was married to Jennie Gardipee in 1914. She passed away in 1938. He later married Agnes Larson in 1941 and she passed away in 1952.

Mr. LaTray had five sons in combat service during WWII and three sons in the Korean War.

Surviving are nine sons and four daughters of William LaTray. They are Paul, Donald, and Robert of Anaconda, Orville of Tacoma, Washington, Harold, John, and Ernest of Chinook, Joseph of Deer Lodge and Alex of Harlem. Mrs. Orville (Pearl) Anderson, Mrs. Patrick (Dorothy) Treax, and Mrs. Marvin (Clara) Nordberg of Portland, Oregon. There are two brothers, Lewis of Ventura, California, and Joe of Hilger, Oregon, and one sister, Sharette of Zortman. There are also 53 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren
