Walter
J. Gloyne
CHINOOK -— Walter J.
Gloyne, 86, longtime Harlem-area cowboy and rancher, died Thursday in Chinook
nursing home. His funeral was held this morning in the United Methodist Church
in Harlem.
Burial was in Harlem Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Sweet Memorial
Nursing Home in Chinook.
Edwards Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
Born on Dec. 26, 1905, in Harlem, he
attended rural and Harlem schools and married Della Ermirson June 16, 1934 in
Glasgow.
His livelihood was involved with horses and
cattle in an area bounded by the Canadian border, Bear Paw and Little Rocky
mountains. He owned and operated a ranch west of Harlem which remains in the
family.
His wife died in 1979.
Survivors include a son, John of Harlem; two
daughters, Marlyn Orahood of Malta and Karen Bryant of Floweree; two brothers,
Paul of Minnesota and Bert of Washington; a sister, Elizabetl Fitzsiininons of
Harlem; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
