Violet M. Swick
CUT BANK --
Violet M. (Knudson) Swick, 70, of Cut Bank, who loved
to go for rides in the country, died of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Friday at Marias Care Center in Shelby.
Her funeral
is
Violet is
survived by daughters, JoAnn Marie Swick Maffit and husband, Robert,
of Helena and Judy Gail Swick Scofield
and husband, Bill, of Cut Bank; brothers Lyle Knudson, Stanley Knudson and Dave
Knudson, all of Havre, and Glen Knudson of State Line, Wash.; and a sister Glady Rohde of Bismarck, N.D. Also surviving Violet are her grandchildren,
Gene Swick and Jeremiah Swick,
both of Havre, Jim Swick, Jeff Swick,
Jezarae Swick and Jasie Swick, all of Anderson, Calif.,
Kristy Maffit Schlueter and
husband, Randy, of Missoula, Jamie Maffit of
Philadelphia, Pa., Allie Jo Maffit of Helena,
Stephanie Moran and husband, Mike Jr., of Cut Bank and Brandon Firman of Fayetteville, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Seth, Courtny and Carter Moran and Chance, Destiny, Hope, Josiah,
Angelena, Areal and Darian Swick, as well as numerous
nieces, nephews, cousins and her close friends at Marias
Care Center.
She was
preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lloyd Knudson; a sister, Doral
Knudson Andrew; and sons Jerry Lee Swick and Jimmy
Dale Swick.
Violet was
born
Violet moved to Cut Bank where she worked as a waitress and cook at
the Big Sky Café, Burgins Café and the Golden Harvest
Café. She developed COPD approximately 12 years ago and had been ill
since.
She loved
painting dresser scarves and pillowcases and listening to country music and
Elvis Presley songs. She especially enjoyed going to the senior center and the
Golden Harvest Café to socialize with friends and co-workers.
