THEODORE NEGARD

  Theodore Negard died at the Good Samaritan hospital June 27, 1944 at about 3 p.m. after an illness of two months.

  He was born in Solia, Norway, February 20, 1869. He attended common school and was confirmed in Norway.

  He immigrated to America in 1887. He worked for farmers in the Red River Valley for two years and then bought a farm near Nellsville in Polk county, Minn.

  He was united in marriage to Anne Bertina Thidmanson in June, 1894. To this union were born eight children, five of which are living.

  They sold the farm in Minnesota and came to Pierce county in 1901, homesteading on a farm south of Rugby where he resided continuously until his death. His wife and three children preceded him in death.

  Those left to mourn his death are: Gunder Negard of Grand Forks; Agnes, Mrs. Ole Skipsted, of Prossier, Wash.; Christine, Mrs. S.J. Buttell, of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mildred, Mrs. Ronald Jones, of Great Falls, Mont., and Teddy Negard, in the country's service somewhere in England.

  He also leaves twelve, grandchildren and one brother, Thorvald Sollin, of Rugby.
