Suzanne M. Fox

 

TURNER -- Suzanne M. (DeSaye) Fox, 88, a homemaker, died of natural causes Sunday at a Havre hospital.

Rosary is 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Turner Cemetery. Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a daughter, Louise Fox Hammer of Pittsburg, Calif.; a son, Ron Fox of Turner; a brother, Joe DeSaye of Great Falls; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Ronald Fox, died in 1989.

She also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Suzanne was born July 16, 1914, in Radville, Sask., Canada, to Louie and Francina (Boyer) DeSaye. Suzanne came to the United States with her parents in 1916 and homesteaded near Turner. She was raised there and attended several schools, including the Ursuline Academy in Great Falls.

Suzanne graduated from Turner High School in 1934 and married Ron A. Fox on April 18, 1936, in Chinook. They raised both of their children on the family farm and both loved the farm life. She said the happiest years of her life were the ones spent with her dear husband, who helped fulfill all her hopes and dreams.

Suzanne was very family-oriented, loved stamp collecting, crocheting and knitting and was especially fond of her dogs.

Memorials may be sent to St. Thomas Catholic Church, Blaine Ambulance II or the Turner Volunteer Fire Department.

TURNER - Suzanne M. Fox, 88, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at a Havre hospital due to natural causes.

Funeral Mass will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with burial following in the Turner Cemetery. Rosary will be recited Thursday at 7 p.m. in the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Suzanne was born in Radville, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Louie and Francina (Boyer) DeSaye on July 16, 1914. She came to the United States with her parents in 1916 and homesteaded near Turner. She was raised there and attended several schools, including the Ursuline Academy in Great Falls. She graduated from Turner High School in 1934.

Suzanne married Ronald A. Fox on April 18, 1936, in Chinook. They raised both of their children on the family farm and they loved the farm life.
