   Stella Haggerty Latray, 77, Kalispell and formerly of Lewistown died Tuesday night in Kalispell following a short illness.

   She was born Sept 22, 1905 in Bemidji, Minn, the daughter of Ernest and Martha Haggerty.

   She received her education in Minn, and moved to Montana in the early 1920's and settled in the Miles City area.

   She worked in ranches around the state and was working at Cleveland when she met Arthur Latray and they were united in marriage in Chinook July 1, 1931.

   They homesteaded in the Cleveland area and in the early 1940's they moved into Chinook.

   They moved around the western U.S. and Montana until 1959 when she moved to the Lewistown area. She lived there

until 1980 when she moved to Kalispell, where she lived until the time of her death.

   She was preceded in death by a son, Franklin D. in 1944, and a daughter, Darleen Van Klinken in 1982.

   She is survived by two sons; Donald of Wisdom and Robert in Arizona; one daughter, Marlene Stulc of Lewistown; two brothers, Les Haggerty of St. Mary, Idaho and John Haggerty in Oregon, one sister, Blanche Sweeney of Kalispell, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

   Funeral services for Mrs. Latray were held Saturday at 11am from the Cloyd Chapel with Pastor Harold Dover, of Lewistown,

officiating. Internment followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens of Lewistown.
