DEATH OF MRS. J.C. CRON CAUSE OF
DEEP REGRET
Passing of Well Known
The heartfelt sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved
family of Mrs. J. C. Cron, whose death came at twenty
minutes past seven o’clock this morning at her home on Broadway. Mrs. Cron’s death
ends an illness of over a year, during which time her devoted husband and sons
have done everything in their power to help her brave fight to regain her
health and her wide circle of friends have anxiously hoped for her ultimate
recovery.
Stella Denman Cron was born on September 19th,
1874 in Springcreek township, the daughter of the
late John and Rebecca Denman. When she
was about four years of age she came with her family to
Mrs. Cron was a valued member of the United
Presbyterian Church; she belonged to the Research Club, of which she at one
time was president, and she was affiliated with the Pickawilliany
Club of the Y.W.C.A., in whose activities she found work that she greatly
enjoyed. She was the beloved center of
her family circle, adored by her husband and sons, holding a unique place in
their affection and confidence. She was
a sociable person with an un-ususally
large number of warm friends, who will keenly feel her loss.
Left to mourn her are her husband: three sons,
Kenneth, John and Robert Cron, and one grandson,
Richard Cron, all of Piqua; two brothers, Bert C.
Denman, of Chicago, and Marion Denman, of Salem,
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at
