Ruth Eileen Cronk
HARLEM - Ruth Eileen (Cronk) Ekegren, 81, died Friday at a Bozeman hospital
of cancer.
Her funeral is 2 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church of Harlem.
Burial
will follow in Harlem Cemetery.
Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook is handling
arrangements. Memorials are
suggested to the First Presbyterian Church or the
Harlem Senior Citizens Center.
Ekegren was born Aug. 24, 1915, on the Cronk Ranch near Colburg. She
attended
schools in Chinook and Harlem, and
also attended Northern Montana College at
Havre for a year.
She married Woodrow Ekegren at the Cronk Ranch on May 19, 1939. They
lived on
the ranch in the Milk River Valley
East of Harlem for 55 years.
She is survived by her husband of Harlem; a daughter, Nancy Williams of
Bozeman; two sons, Woody of Belgrade
and Stan of Boise; a sister Norma Dickson
of Chinook; a brother, John Cronk of
Harlen; several grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.

HARLEM - Ruth Eileen Ekegren, 81, died of cancer Friday, Sept. 27, 1996,
at
the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
She was born Aug. 24, 1915, on the Cronk Ranch near Colburg to John and
Anna
Cronk. She attended grade school in
Chinook, junior high and high school at
Harlem and attended Northern Montana
College for a year.
She married Woodrow Ekegren at the Cronk Ranch on May 19, 1939. They
lived
nearly 55 years on the family farm
in the Milk River Valley East of Harlem
where they raised three children.
She is survived by husband, Woodrow, of Harlem; daughter, Nancy Williams
of
Bozeman; sons, Woody of Belgrade and
Stan of Boise, Idaho; sister, Norma
Dickson of Chinook; and brother,
John Cronk of Harlem. She is also survived by
seven grandchildren ; and one great
grandchild.
Memorials may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church, Harlem Senior
Citizen Center, or one's choice.
