RUBY MCGILLIVRAY

  HARLEM - Ruby Marie McGillivray, 71, died Sunday Jan. 9, 2000, at a Havre hospital of lung cancer.

  Wake will be held Tuesday with Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at the Ruby McGillivray residence in Harlem. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Harlem Assembly og God Church with burial following in Kuper Memorial Cemetery of Chinook.

  McGillivray was born March 11, 1928, in Malta, to Martin and Josephine (Gardner) Gardipee. She was raised in Chinook.

  On June 30, 1951, she married William McGillivray in Harlem. The couple resided and farmed at Hogeland for nearly 15 years, then purchaced a home in Harlem in 1965 and resided there since.

  She was a seamstress and was awarded many titles in the Montana Seed Show and Blaine County Fair.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1987, four brothers and a sister.

  Survivors include daughters, Cindy Blair of Newton, Iowa, Judy Brandon of Big Timber, Veronica Tabor of Vacaville, Calif., Bonnie Harmon of Turner, Jean Larson of Everett, Wash., and Linda Johnson of Havre; a brother, Edward Gardipee of Shelby; a sister, Alvina Allen of Harlem; 20 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

  Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
