GALLATIN GATEWAY - Royce Owen Lotton, 26, formerly of Havre and a talented carpenter, died Friday, June 4, 2004, from drug and alcohol abuse.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Fifth Avenue Christian Church with the Rev. Rowlie Hutton officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the service, with the burial at 1 p.m. at the Highland Cemetery.

Royce was born on Nov. 16, 1977, and accompanied his father to work at the family construction business from the time he was little. Royce learned the family business and gained great satisfaction from completing a project well. Royce moved to Livingston in 1998 to work for Anderson Construction, building the post office. He loved the Livingston-Bozeman area and decided to remain in the area working in the construction field. He was working on a project in the Big Sky area.

Royce enjoyed the outdoors and was a Boy Scout who loved fishing, camping, and skiing on both snow and water as he grew up. Royce also participated in wrestling and football in junior high and high school.

Royce is survived by his parents, Brad Lotton and Kadene (Greg) Drummer of Havre; nephew, Nolan Lotton of Havre; grandparents, Margaret Goodian of Helena and Kenneth and Mary Lotton of Harrison, Neb.; special best friend Jody Goode and her daughter, Alivia, of Livingston; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Angie Lotton; grandfather, Kenneth Goodian; and cousin, David Lotton.

Memorials can be made to the Anchor Boys Academy, 24247 Base Road, Havre, MT 59501, or to one's choice.

Holland and Bonine Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
