He was a Farmer at Pea Ridge, Ill Near Scales Mound, Ill.

He died on 4th of July in foot race with William Perry at age of 72 per

newspaper articile(Galina Weekly Gazette) of July 6, 1893.

Mr Bell leaves besides his third wife, one son, Thomas Bell residing at

Murray, Iowa, Three daughters, Mrs Richard Thomas of Britt Iowa, Mrs James

Dawson of Warren, and Mrs A.J. Macomber of Nora. The funeral sarvices will be

held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning. (From same newspaper)

He was married to Ann Thompson--Born September 30, 1819 in Westmoreland Co. England. She died on October 28, 1898 and is burried at Council Hill, Ilinois.
