Ralph E. Cron

 

     CONOVER - Ralph E. Cron, 97, of Conover, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999 at 3:40 p.m. in his residence.

     He was born March 15, 1901, in Piqua, the son of the late Orie and Anna Fisher Cron.

     Survivors include two nieces, Margaret Scamahorn of Piqua and Mrs. Boyd Hunt (Leota) of Arcanum.

     He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

     Mr. Cron attended the Piqua Schools.

     He attended Troy Apostolic Temple, Troy.

     He retired from Piqua Memorial Hospital in 1976 from the maintenance department.

     Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Melcher Sowers Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Workman officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.

     Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Miami County.

     Ralph E. Cron, 97, of Conover, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, at his resdence.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Orie and Anna (Fisher) Cron, three brothers and one sister.

     He is survived by two nieces, Margaret Scamahorn of Piqua and Leota Hunt of Arcanum.

     Mr. Cron was born March 15, 1901 in Piqua, attended the Piqua school system, attended Troy Apostolic Temple in Troy and retired in 1976 from the maintenance department at Piqua Memorial Hospital.

     Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, with the Rev. Richard Workman officiating.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua.

     Friends may call one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.

     Contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County.
