PAULINE M. CRON

Pauline M. Cron, 80, of 7161 Fessler-Buxton Road, Piqua, died at 6:45 p.m.

Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002 in the Covington Care Center.

She was born in Pleasant Hill on April 11, 1922 to the late Chester and Iva

Divens Ross. She married Leroy Cron on Sept. 5, 1942 in Pleasant Hill; and he

survives.

Other survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Sara Cron

of Sidney, Bruce and Carol Cron of Fletcher and Brian and Karen Cron of

Piqua; eight grandchildren, Christina Warner, Keith Cron, Scott Cron, Dawn

Covault, Shelly Cron, Darin Cron, Julie Cron and Lisa Cron; six

great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Vesta Bundy of Covington and Ruth

Sponaugle of Bradford.

Mrs. Cron was preceded in death by a son, Mark; a daughter, Janet; a grandson

Matthew; and one brother, Carl.

Mrs. Cron was a member of the Congregational Christian United Church of

Christ. She was a 1940 graduate of Newton High School in Pleasant Hill. She

belonged to the Sheepskin Community Club in Piqua and the Houston Community

Association. Mrs. Cron was a homemaker all her life devoting her time to her

family. She worked beside her husband on the farm and milking cows until

their retirement. Pauline enjoyed collecting bells and doing needlepoint. She

and her husband spent their winter months at their home in Florida.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31 in the

Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard N. Henry Jr.

officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorial

contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, Inc., P.O. Box 502,
