NORBERT W. MAJERUS
VALIER - Norbert W. Majerus, 70, farmer, died Friday
at a Conrad medical center after a long illness.
A rosary will be at 7:30 this evening at St. Francis
Church in Valier.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the
church, with burial at Lakeview Cemetery.
Born in Morris, Minn., he was raised and educated in
Havre and attended Montana State University. He was a Conrad high school
teacher~ and a county extension agent in Sidney and Chinook in th~ early 1940s.
In 1941 he married ma Ann Brophy in Valier. The Navy
veteran and his wife farmed in the Valier area until retiring in 1980.
She died in 1985.
Survivors include his sons, Bill of Kent, Wash.,
Larry of Troy, Mich. and Tom and John of Valier; daughters, Marjean of Eugene,
Ore. and Betty Hibbert of Helena; a sister, Florence Brophy of Hamilton;
brothers, Edward of Lewistown, Le6nard of Roundup, Frank of Great Falls, and
George and Giles of Havre; and eight grandchildren.
Wyse Funeral Home of Conrad is in charge of
arrangements.
