Mary Cron
Troy – Mary Cron, 90, formerly of Troy,
died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at Mason City Area Nursing Home in
Mason City, Ill.
A memorial service will be held for family
and friends at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20 at the First Presbyterian Church,
There will be a private visitation for
family at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, and burial will follow at Forest Hill
Cemetery in Piqua on Saturday, Dec. 20.
Mary was born Feb. 2, 1913, in Piqua, the
daughter of the late George and Margaret Weishardt
Washing. She married Robert D. Cron in
1938 in
She is survived by one daughter and
son-in-law, Carolyn and Jerry Wessels of Lincoln,
Ill.; one grandson, Scott Wessels of Arlington, Va.;
one granddaughter, Heidi Wessels of Des Moines, Iowa;
several nieces; and several nephews. She
was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers.
Mary was active in her church and was a
volunteer in her community for several years.
