MARTHA E. WOODWARD

CHINOOK - Martha E. Woodward, 81, a retired bookkeeper and a resident of

Chinook, died on May 2, 1995, at a Havre hospital of natural causes.

Funeral services are 9 a.m. on Friday, May 5, at the Holland & Bonine Chapel

in Havre with president Omar D. Steyee officiating. Burial will be at

the Highland Cemetery with military honors.

Martha was born on Nov. 9, 1913, at MacKay, Id., the daughter of Jacob and

Gula (Mumbower) Weierman. She graduated from Eureka high school.

Martha was a World War II veteran and served with the W.A.C.'s in the U.S.

Army for three years.

She came to Havre in 1946 and worked as a bookkeeper for Valley Motors,

Buttreys, Sacred Heart Hospital and Angstmanb Motors.

On Oct. 21, 1950, at Great Falls, she married Guy W. Woodward. Her husband

passed away in 1974.

In 1974 Martha moved from Havre and had resided in Chinook for the past 14

years. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, the W.A.C. Veterans

Association and a member of the Latter Day Saints Church of Chinook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.

She is survived by one brother; Donald Weierman of Santaquin, Utah; also

numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials in Mrs. Woodward's honor may be made to the American Red Cross or

to a person's choice.

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home is in charge of arrangemants.

Eureka High School. She was a graduate of the Eureka, Utah, high school.

Also, she was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary in Havre.

veteram, died Tuesday at a Havre hospital of natural causes.

Services are 9 a.m. Friday at Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel in Havre, with

burial with military honors in Highland Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Red Cross.

Born Nov. 9, 1913, in Mackay, Idaho, she grauated from Eureka High School and

served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II.

In 1946 she moved to Havre and worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses.

In 1950 she married Guy W. Woodward in Great Falls.

After his death in 1974 she moved to Chinook, where she lived until her

death.

She was a member of the Veterans Association and the Church of Jesus Christ

of Latter-Day Saints.

Surviving is a brother, Donald Weierman of Santaquin, Utah.
