Mary Brandt, age 95, of Elizabeth, Illinois died Wednesday, November 19, 1997 at Galena-Stauss Hospital, Galena, Illinois. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 1997 at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church iii Schapville, Illinois with Reverejid Richard Dowlinig officiating. Burial will be in Shepherd of the Hills Cenietery, Schapvi!le. Visitation will be 4- 7 p.m. Saturday,

November 22, at the Law-Jones Funeral Home in Elizabeth.

Mary was born November 11, 1902 in Schapville, Illinois to Herman and Lena (Wolfl) Bohnsack. She married Harry Brandt January 30, 1924 in Schapville. He died in 1944 at Freeport, Illinois. Mary farmed with her husband for 20 years. She then became a clerk at the pharmacy in Elizabeth and worked 34 years until her retirement in 197&

Mary was a nieniber of the Shepherd of the hills Lutheran Church in Schapville, Illinois. She also was a member of the Ladies Aid Society at the Church. Mary enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and time spent with her family.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Lenora Root of Clianipliri, Minnesota and Hilda Holland of Reuton, Washington; a daughler-iii-law, Beverly Brandt of Galena; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband. harry; one son. E.ldon; an infant granddaughter; a son-in-law; one brother; and one sister.

ELIZABETH, Ill. - Mary Brandt, 95, of Elizabeth, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1997, at Galena-Stauss Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Schapville, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Elizabeth.
