obituary

MALTA Margaret L. Grabofsky, 89, a
homemaker of Malta, died Friday, March 16, 2007, at Peace Hospice in Great Falls
of natural causes.
Her funeral service will be held at
11 a. m. Wednesday at the Malta Lutheran Church with interment in the Malta
Cemetery.
Margaret was born March 9, 1918, in Harlem
to August and Jenny (Loen) Sveen. She was raised and educated in the Turner
area and graduated from Turner High School. She attended Northern Montana
College in Havre and received a teaching degree. She taught school at Sunny
Slope School between Turner and Loring.
Margaret married William Grabofsky on Oct. 3,
1941, on the Sveen family farm near Turner. They lived on their farm and ranch
until 1980, when they moved to Malta. Margaret enjoyed her home in Malta.
Margaret loved to make pies and bake cookies. She enjoyed doing things for the
Malta Lutheran Church. She loved working in her yard and garden and her lovely
flowers. Margaret enjoyed painting pictures of roses.
Margaret was preceded in death by her
husband, William Grabofsky; parents; sisters, Ruth Silliker and Augusta
Kletzin; and brother, Knut Sveen.
Survivors include her children, Gerald
(June) Grabofsky of Havre, Willard (Barbara) Grabofsky of Eugene, Ore., and
Marilyn (George) Clinger of Great Falls; sister, Eda Simons of Havre; six
grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Malta Lutheran
Church.
Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of
arrangements.
