Lucille Slaght

    Cremation has taken place under the direction of Croxford Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorial Mass is 3 p.m. Dec. 17 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, followed by a reception at 3810 Lower River Road.
    Lucille leaves behind a daughter, Shirley Davis and husband Russ of Great Falls; a son, Lyle Slaght and wife Jeannie of Missoula; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    Lucille was born June 2, 1908, in Tintah, Minn. She moved to Kremlin, Mont., with her mother and two brothers on the train from Tintah to join her father, who had acquired a section of farmland.
    She graduated from Havre High School and worked for the Buttrey store in Havre before moving to Malta, where she was a waitress.
    She married Mayo Slaght on June 7, 1940, in Malta, and became a full-time homemaker and mother. After her husband's death in 1970, she moved to Great Falls to be near her daughter, Shirley, and granddaughter Monica Weaver.
Lucille was always busy gardening, doing needlework or just plain working at something.
    In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
