History: Lucille Kuehn, age 108, of New Rockford, ND, died Sunday, November 28, 2004, at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford.

Lucille B. Johnson was born November 16, 1896, at Buffalo, ND, the daughter of Martin and Bertha (Sande) Johnson. At a young age, her family moved to the Brantford, ND, area where she grew up. On December 22, 1921, Lucille was united in marriage to Ferdinand Kuehn at First Lutheran Church in New Rockford. They lived and farmed near Brantford until 1958, when they moved into New Rockford. Mr. Kuehn died November 9, 1970. Lucille lived on her own until the age of 101, entering Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford in February of 1998.

Lucille was a member of First Lutheran Church and various Homemakers groups. She enjoyed crocheting and also bowling, which she still did until she was 101 years old.

Lucille is survived by one son, Lyle "Bud" (Marge) of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren: Cindy, Barbara, Rick Kuehn, Ron Berglund and Pam Seymour; twelve great-grandchildren: Nick, Amy, Jennifer, Brandi, Arielle, Garrett, Nicole, George, John, James, Stephanie, and Kristin; and three great-great-grandchildren: Wyatt & Chet Berglund, and Zackery Seymour.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one infant son, Roger Dale; one daughter, Berneice Berglund; one granddaughter, Roxanne; five brothers, Clarence, Harry, Melvin, Lovell, & Leonard; and one sister, Florence.
