LES PASMA

  GLENDIVE - Les Pasma, 88, longtime Blaine and Hill County resident, died of

natural causes at his home in Glendive.

  Pasma was born in Michigan, Jan 30, 1900, where he attended elementary and

high school.

  In 1916 he moved to Montana to join his older brothers, settling on the

family homestead near Lloyd in the Bear Paw Mountains.

  He worked on various cattle ranches for several years and obtained his own

holding in the Rattlesnake area, where he was engaged in cattle ranching and

coal mining.

  He retired and moved to Havre in the 1950s.

  He was a lifetime and charter member of the Havre Saddle Club founded in the 1940s and took interest in rodeoing and Western culture.

  Pasma is survived by a son, Earl(Junior) of Glendive, whom he was residing at the time of his death; a daughter, Helen Plovanic of Spokane, Wash; a sister, Cecellia Murphy of Chinook; seven grandchildren; and bumerous nieces and nephews.

  He was preceded in death by three brothers and sisters.

  Services and burial will be in Havre with ditails to be annouced.

LESTER PASMA SR

  HAVRE - Funeral services for Lester Pasma Sr., 89, Glendive, who died at his home in Glendive on July 7, were at Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel Thursday afternoon with Rev. Jerry Bonnell officiating.

  Burial was at Highland Cemetery.

  Soloist was grandson Ron Pasma, singing "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Sweet   Bye and Bye." Organist was Bill Lisenby.

  Granddaughter Patty Pasma read a poem she wrote.

  Honorary pallbearers were all his friends.

  Pallbearers were John Pasma, Robert Pasma, Gary Mueller, Tom Pasma, Gerald

Mumper and Marvin Cross.
