Lena Ramberg

   CHINOOK -- Lena (Albrecht) Ramberg, 91, a homemaker, died of natural causes Thursday at a Chinook nursing home.

   Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at American Lutheran Church in Chinook, with burial in Kuper Memorial Cemetery. Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook is in charge of arrangements.

   Survivors include daughters Anna Thorp of Fort Benton, Myrtle Franzen Mildred Dawson and Susan Sargent, all of Chinook, Eileen Gachne of Puyallup, Wash., Carolyn Rosenbaum of Coram, Linda Mackenstadt of Whitefish, Erna Guertzgen of Chester, Carla Hunt of Laurel and Mary Baker of Harlem; sons Harry Ramberg of Chinook and David Ramberg of Basin, Wyo.; 42 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

   She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry "Pat" Ramberg; sons Chris, Warner and Frank Ramberg; and five grandchildren

   CHINOOK - Lena Ramberg, 91, died Thursday at the Sweet Memorial Nursing Home due to natural causes.

   A funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the American Lutheran Church with burial following in Kuper Memorial Cemetery. Lena was born Magdalena Katarina Dorothia Albrecht on Jan. 7, 1912, in Hussum, Germany, to Herman and Minna (Fieland) Albrecht. She came to the United States on Nov. 27, 1923, with her parents and three brothers. She married Harry "Pat" Ramberg on April 15, 1931, and they lived on a farm south of Chinook.

   Lena was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Herman, Warner and Ernest Albrecht; sons, Chris, Warner and Frank Ramberg; and five grandchildren.

   Lena is survived by: daughters, Anna Thorp of Fort Benton, Myrtle Franzen, Mildred Dawson and Susan Sargent, all of Chinook, Eileen Gachne of Puyallup, Wash., Carolyn Rosenbaum of Coram, Linda Mackenstadt of Whitefish, Erna Guertzgen of Chester, Carla Hunt of Laurel, Mary Ellen Baker of Harlem; sons, Harry Ramberg of Chinook amd David Ramberg of Basin, Wyo.; 42 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

   Lena Ramberg, 91, died of natural causes at the Sweet Me­morial Nursing Home on Thurs­day, July 3, 2003. Funeral serv­ices were held on Tuesday, July 8, at 2:00 p.m. in the American Lutheran Church in Chinook, with burial following in the Ku-per Memorial Cemetery. Ar­rangements were by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.

   Lena was named Magdalena Katarina Dorothia Albrecht when she was born on January 7, 1912, in Hussum, Germany to Herman and Minna (Fieland) Albrecht. She came to the United States on November 27, 1923 with her parents and three brothers. On April 15, 1931 she married Harry “Pat” Ramherg and they lived on a farm south of Chinook.

   Survivors include 10 daugh­ters, Anna Thorp of Fort Benton, Myrtle Franzen, Mildred Dawson and Susan Sargent all of Chi­nook, Eileen Gachne of Puyal­lup, WA, Carolyn Rosenbaum of Coram, Linda Mackenstadt of Whitefish, Erna Guertzgen of Chester, Carla Hunt of Laurel, and Mary Ellen Baker of Harlem; two sons. Harry Ramberg of Chinook and David Ramberg of Basin, WY; 42 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
