Lee L. Rafter

HOGELAND - Lee L. Rafter, 47, who farmed near Hogeland, died Saturday at a

Great Falls hospital of natural causes after a lenghtly illness.

His funeral is at 2 p.m. Tuesday at American Lutheran Church with burial in

Wing Cemetery. Edwards Funeral Home in Chinook is handling arrangements.

Rafter was born June 16, 1947, in Havre. In 1965 he graduated from Hogeland

High School. He attended Montana State University in Bozeman and Northern

Montana College in Havre. In 1968 he moved to Alaska to work as a journeyman

plumber and pipefitter with Local 367. In 1987 he returned to Hogeland to

operate the family farm.

Surviving are his wife of Hogeland, two sons, Ralph Wik of Hogeland and

Michael Banks of Anchorage; his parents, Ordway Rafter and Verna Jenisven

Rafter of Lewistown, a sister, Lynette Sallee of Lewistown and a grandchild.
