Laura E. Brandt Services August 25

 

   Mrs Laura E Brandt, earlyday Rudyard area resident, died Sun­day, Aug. 20 in Van Nuys, Cal. She was 80.

   Born in Sewart, Minn., Jan. 30, 1892, Mrs. Brandt came to Rudyard with .her parents in 1910. She mar­ried the Rev. Louis W. Brandt in Rudyard June 25, 1911. He pre­ceded her in death in 1936.

   Mrs. Brandt owned and operated the Grand Hotel in Rudyard from 1944 until 1951, when she moved to Havre. She remained in Havre until  1960, and then made her home in Van Nuys, Cal.

   Survivors includes sons, Harold of Inverness, Edwin of Seattle, El­mer of Ojai, Cal., George of Ox­nard, Cal., Eugene of Van Nuys, daughters, Cora Brandt of Van Nuys, Mrs. Eunice Robertson of Haywood, Cal., Mrs. Lauretta Wo­daz of Havre, Mrs. Ruth Nelson, Havre, and Mrs. Lydia Hansen of Rudyard; 21 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Ernest Brandt, and Mrs. Henry Langel, both of Rudyard; and  brothers, George and Waldemar Krue­ger of  Rudyard.

Funeral services were Friday, Aug. 25 at 10 a.m. in the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.

   Pallbearers were Dale Brandt, Merle Brandt, Jerry Brandt, Roy Wodarz, Dan Nelson, and Don Han­sen, all grandsons of Mrs. Brandt.
