Kenneth Lloyd Wilson

 

HAVRE -- Kenneth Lloyd Wilson, 67, an Army veteran, carpenter and farmer, died Tuesday at the family farm south of Hingham.

His funeral is 2:30 p.m. Friday at Van Orsdel United Methodist Church, with burial in Highland Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Caroline Wilson of Havre; a daughter, Cindy Lu Wilson of Havre; sons Brian Wilson, Kenneth J. Wilson and Bart Wilson, all of Havre; a brother, Tiny Wilson of Havre; sisters Betty Ost of Spokane, Rose Brown of Vancouver, Wash., Lilly Howard of Sweet Home, Ore., and Eva Calahan of Santa Ana, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Kenneth was born Feb. 22, 1934, in Riedel, to Roy A. and Dorothy (Johnson) Wilson. He attended schools in Harlem, Havre and Gildford, and graduated from Gildford High School.

He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1955. He returned to Havre and worked for the Great Northern Railroad as a fireman from 1956 until 1964. He also worked as a carpenter and farmed north of Rudyard, south of Hingham and west of Box Elder.

He married Caroline Becker on Nov. 17, 1957, at the Van Orsdel United Methodist Church in Havre. Since their marriage, the couple has lived in Havre.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and Sons of Norway.

Additional survivors include a daughter-in-law, Marlene Wilson of Havre; and brothers-in-law Ed Brown of Vancouver, Bill Howard of Sweet Home and Jack Calahan of Santa Ana.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Marvin "Red" Wilson and Alvin "Bud" Wilson.

Memorials in Kenneth's honor are suggested to the American Cancer Society, Star Route Box 36, Box 22K, Havre, MT 59501; or to the donor's choice.
