MRS GEO. HAUX CALLED BY DEATH
Mrs. Katharine Haux nee Jesser was Born August 28,
1865 at Bergdorf,Russia.
She was baptized into the Christian faith of the Lutheran Church and in 1880 was confirmed on
Calus-Sunday. She was married to George Haux jr.,on Febuary 16, 1886. Her
parents were William Jesser and Katharine Jesser nee Wuexler of Russia. She
came to America with her husband may 11, 1893 and settled near Java, living on
a farm until Oct 31, 1918, when the family moved to Java. Several weeks ago she
began to be bothered with heart trouble and her condition became steadily
worse. Dr. Girard of Hoven was called several times and although everything was
done to help her, she succumbed last Wednesday evening, Dec 2 at 9:30. She was
a wonderful wife and mother and her gentle and quiet nature won for her the
love and respect of the many friends, neighbors and loved ones who remain to
mourn her death. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, Geo. Haux jr. and
seven children, John Haux, Jacob J. Haux, Mrs. Kate Pfaff and Henry Haux of
Java, Ralph Haux, of McIntosh, Mrs. C.H. Laemmle, of Danzig, N.D., and William
F. Haux of Selby, and a brother, Fred Jesser,of Java, and several brothers and
sisters living in Russia. The Herald offers its heartfelt sympathy to the
bereaved family.
