Juliette Acher
CHINOOK -- Juliette (Tilleman) Acher, 87, a homemaker, died of colon
cancer Tuesday at her home in Chinook.
Rosary is 7 this evening at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Chinook.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Gabriel's, with burial in Kuper Memorial
Cemetery. Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Chapman of Chinook; a sister, Lena
Burkland of Bremerton, Wash.; three grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Albert Acher, has died.

JULIETTE ACHER
CHINOOK - Juliette Tilleman Acher, 87, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at
her home in Chinook due to cancer.
Rosary is 7 p.m. today at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church. Funeral Mass
will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Gabriel’s. Burial will take place in the
Kuper Memorial Cemetery.
Juliette was born June 12, 1914, in south Blaine County to John and
Stephanie (D’Hooge) Tilleman.
She married Albert Acher on April 16, 1941, in Chinook. They farmed west
of Zurich for 32 years. They retired and moved to Chinook in 1972.
Juliette’s vegetable and flower gardens were her pride and joy. Her
other hobbies included a good game of cards with friends and family, which she
took part in until the very end. She taught and played many card games with her
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also made many afghans for her
family.
She was a lifelong member of the St. Gabriel’s Catholic Parish. She used
to help with the many dinners that St. Gabriel’s P.C.C.W. held and was still an
active member of the P.C.C.W.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Stephanie (D’Hooge)
Tilleman; husband, Albert on Sept. 5, 1992; three brothers, Henry, Charles and
Arthur Tilleman; sister, Mabel Bennett; two granddaughters.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy (Francis) Chapman of Chinook;
sister, Lena Burkland of Bremerton, Wash.; sister-in-law, Mary Tilleman of
Chinook; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one
great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be sent to the St. Gabriel Catholic Church Choir Window
Fund.
Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
