James A. McCoy

  CHINOOK - James A. McCoy, 63, an Army veteran and truck driver, died Sunday at a Great Falls hospital of a brain aneurysm.

  His funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Chinook, with burial in Kuper Memorial Cemetery.

  He was born May 16, 1934, in Harlem. He attended schools in Chinook and graduated from high school in 1954.

  In 1955 he married Myrla Neufeld in Havre. He served in the Army from 1955-57 and was stationed in Korea.

  After his discharge he returned to Chinook, where he worked as a truck driver hauling grain and later crude oil. He retired in 1992.

  Survivors include his wife of Chinook; a son, Tim McCoy of Havre; a daughter, Kelly Carlson of Everett, Wash.; his mother, Mabel Blakeslee of Chinook; a sister, Connie Anderson of Hogeland; and two grandchildren.

  CHINOOK - James A. McCoy, 63, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997, at Benefis West in Great Falls due to a brain aneurysm. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Kuper Memorial Cemetery.

  McCoy was born May 16, 1934, to Tom and Mabel (Snider) McCoy in Harlem. He attended schools in Chinook and graduated in 1954.

  He married Myrla Neufeld on Jan. 21, 1955 in Havre.

  He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 until- 1957 and was stationed in Korea.

  When he returned to Chinook in 1957 he worked for Danny Gill, Buttrey's Food in Chinook, drove semi-trucks hauling grain in the area, and for Kock Service Inc. hauling crude oil from Chinook to the Canadian Border at Turner and to Great Falls from 1974 until retireing in 1992.

  He is survived bye his wife, Myrla of Chinook; a son, Tim McCoy of Havre;  daughter, Kelly Carlson of Everett, Wash.; his mother, Mabel Blakeslee of Chinook;  sister, Connie Anderson of Hogeland; and two grandchildren.

  Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.

  CHINOOK - James A. McCoy, 63, passed away Nov. 30, 1997, at Benefis West in Great Falls due to a brain aneurysm.

  Funeral services were Dec. 2 in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Kuper Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.

  Pastor Don Keyyey officiated at the services. Ben Hall and Mark Roseberry sang a duet and accompanist was Linda Hauhen. Bearers were Loren Snider, Ralph Snider, Roger Snider, Jay Anderson, Tom Anderson and Edward Snider.

  Mr. McCoy was born May 16, 1934, to Tom and Mabel (Snider) McCoy in Harlem. Jim attended schools in Chinook and graduated in 1954. He married Myrla Neufeld on Jan. 21, 1955 in Havre. Mr. McCoy served in the U.S. Army from 1955 until- 1957 and was stationed in Korea.
