JEANETTE SARGENT
CHINOOK - Jeanette C. Sargent, 68, died Monday, Feb. 12,2001 in Deer
Lodge from a apparent heart attack.
Sargent was born April 12, 1932 to Edwin and Marthe (Friede) Martin. She
was raised in the Chinook area and attended Chinook schools.
She married Dick Sargent on Sept. 16, 1948 in Chinook.
Sargent was an active member of the Presbyterian Church and sang in the
church choir. She participated in her children's lives and enjoyed helping her
husband in the family meat shop.
For enjoyment, Sargent crocheted, worked ceramic, traveled, watched TV
wrestling, read, looked for new recipes, chatted with family and friends on the
Internet.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leslie Martin;
husband Dick, who died in 1993.
Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Brian of Columbia Falls, Martha
Stearns, Carol Sorenson and Darce Horswill, all of Williston, N.D., Kathy
Zoeteman and Janie Hensley, both of Deer Lodge, Jody Roth of Fort Benton; sons,
Richard Sargent of Deer Lodge, Devone Sargent of Williston; 27 grandchildren;
11 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to the Presabyterian Church.
Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.

Jeanette C. Sargent, 68, passed away on Monday, February 12,2001, in
Deer Lodge from a apparent heart failure.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 17, in the Presbyterian
Church with burial following in the Kuper Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be
sent to the Presabyterian Church.

Jeanette was born on April 12, 1932 to Edwin and Marthe (Friede) Martin.
She was raised in the Chinook area and attended Chinook schools. On September 16, 1948, she married Dick
Sargent in Chinook and they lived most
of their life in Chinook where they raised their nine children Jeanette has
been active in the raising of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, too.
An active member of the Chinook Presbyterian Church, she sang in the
church choir. A wonderful cook, she
enjoyed helping Dick in the family meat
shop. Some of her favorite pastimes include crocheting, working with ceramics, watching wrestling on TV, reading, looking for new recipes, and chatting
with family members on the Internet.
Survivors include seven daughters, Joyce Brian of Columbia Falls, Martha
Stearns, Carol Sorenson and Darce Horswill all of Williston, ND, Kathy Zoeteman
and Janie Hensley, both of Deer Lodge, Jody Roth of Fort Benton; two sons,
Richard Sargent of Deer Lodge, Devone Sargent of Williston, ND; 27
grandchildren; 11great grandchildren.
