JAMES CATTERLIN STRICKEN FRIDAY

 

     James David Catterlin, 86, retired woodworker of West Park avenue, died at Piqua Memorial hospital at 3:45 o’clock this morning following an illness of six weeks which developed after he suffered the fracture of a hip in a fall.

     Born in Newberry township, July 12, 1857, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Catterlin, he had resided in Piqua most of his life and was a woodworker at the old Piqua Handle company.  He was married September 29, 1908 to Nannie M. Barr who survives.  He was a charter member of the Congregational Christian church.

     Surviving are his wife, Nannie; a son, Charles of Piqua; a grand-daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Mildred) Sanzenbacher, of Piqua; a grandson, Arthur Catterlin of Miami, Florida; a brother, William of Piqua, and great-granddaughter, Patricia.  A son, Harry and several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

     Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the J. C. Cron and Sons chapel, with burial to be at Forest Hill cemetery.  Friends may call at Cron’s Sunday afternoon and evening and Monday until the hour of rites.
