HAVRE -- Longtime Turner homemaker Jewell C. (
Her funeral is 3 p.m. Monday at the
Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include daughters Donna VanWechel of
Apache Junction, Ariz., and Theresa Cowan of Havre; sons Leon Cederberg of Great Falls, Larry Cederberg
of Turner and Brice Cederberg of Stevensville; 12
grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Aben Cederberg,
died in 1969.

TURNER - Jewell C. Cederberg, 96, died Thursday, July 8, 2004, at a Havre care
center.
A funeral service
was scheduled for 3 p.m. today in the
Jewell was born in Springfield,
Mo., on May 22, 1908, to Benjamin and Mettie (Tranthan) Adams. When she was 5, Jewell and her family
moved to
On Oct. 5, 1927,
she married Aben Cederberg
in
Being a mother and
farm wife took up most of Jewell's early adult life. She always enjoyed
gardening, raising flowers and doing handiwork, quilting, crocheting, cruel and
embroidery. Jewell contributed many hours to the American Legion Auxiliary and
served as a Girl Scout leader for several years. One of her greatest joys was
furnishing fresh flowers for both of the Turner churches.
Jewell had been a
resident at the Northern Montana Care Center since Feb. 20, 1998. She carried
on an active life during her tenure at the care center, attending the many
social events, playing bingo every Monday and Thursday, and attending church
services. She loved all holidays, especially Christmas.
Jewell
was preceded in death by her husband, Aben in 1969;
parents; one grandson; four brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include
her children, Leon (Nellie) Cederberg of Great Falls,
Donna (Mel) VanWechel of Apache Junction, Ariz.,
Brice (Glenna) Cederberg of Stevensville, Theresa
Cowan of Havre, Larry (Roberta) Cederberg of Turner;
12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be
sent to the American Legion Auxiliary in Turner, the
Arrangements are by
Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
