HAVRE - Tonjum, Ingvar, 90, died Friday at his home in Havre. Funeral
services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in
the First Lutheran Chuch. Burial will be
in Highland Cemetery. He was born in
Norway and came to North Dakota as a young man. In 1914, he homesteaded north
of Havre. He married Bernice Bronson at Winnetha, Ill., in 1940. He retired
from farming in 1963 and the couple had their home in Havre since. He is
survived by his wife; two sons; Larry and Paul, both of Havre; five
grandchildren, and one brother, Ole, of Havre.

INGVAR TONJUM
Ingvar Tonjum, 90, died July 1 at his home in North Havre. Funeral
services
will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July
6, at the First Lutheran Church in Havre.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Mr. Tonjum was born March 20, 1893, in Lardal, Norway.
He arrived in North Dakota from Norway in 1912. He moved to the north
Havre
area in 1914,where he eastablished a
homestead.
Mr. Tonjum was married to Bernice Bronson Jan 5, 1940 in Winnetha, Ill.
He retired from farming in 1963. They had made their home in Havre
since.
He was a charter member of the Sons of Norway and a member of the First
Lutheran Church.
Mr. Tonjum is susrvived by his widow in Havre. Also surviving are two
sons,
Larry and Paul, both of Havre; a
bother, Ole, also of Havre; and five
granchildren.

INGVAR TONJUM
Funeral services for Ingvar Tonjum were conducted Wednesday afternoon in
First Lutheran Church with the Rev.
Rodney Kvamme officiating.
Interment was i Highland
Cemetery.
Pastor Anderson sang "Who is This Host Arrayed in White?"
Bill Sutter sang, "Amazing Grace" and "The Lord's
Prayer."
The congregation sang, "What a Friend We have in Jesus."
Angela Henning was organist.
Pallbearers were Monty Borlaug, Roger Borlaug and Bud Borlaug, Arlen
Peterson and Sam Shruger.
Ushers were Norman Gorder and Louie Lotton.
Memorials may be sent to the First Lutheran Church or one's own choice.
