Henry E. Tilleman
CHINOOK - Henry E. Tilleman, 91, a lifelong area rancher, died of natural
causes Sunday at a Havre hospital.
Vigil services are 7 this evening at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church.
Funeral
Mass is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St.
Gabriel's, with burial at Kuper Memorial
Cemetery. Edwards Funeral Home is in
charge of arrangements.
Born March 2, 1905, in Superior, Wis., he moved to Chinook as a child
and
attended schools in Fairview. In
1928 he married Irma D'Hooge in Harlem; she
died in 1977.
He spent his adult life farming in the area.
In 1989 he married March Wright; she died in 1994.
Survivors include a daughter, Theresa Swindle of Duluth, Ga.; two sons,
Bert
Tilleman and Mike Tilleman of Havre;
a brother, Art Tilleman of Chinook; two
sisters, Lena Berglund of Havre and
Juliet Acher of Chinook; 19 Grabdchildren,
26 great-great-grandchild.

HENRY E. TILLEMAN
CHINOOK - Henry E. Tilleman, 91, a life-long Chinook area rancher and
farmer,
died of natural causes, Sunday, Feb.
23, 1997, at Northern Montana Hospital in
Havre.
A vigil service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, in St. Gabriel's
Catholic
Church with funeral mass services 11
a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at St. Gabriel's
Catholic Church.
He was born to John and Stephanie (D'Hooge) Tilleman on March 2, 1905,
at
Superior, Wisc. He came to Chinook
with his parents in 1908 and attended school
at Fairview, south of Chinook.
He loved farming, fishing and telling tall stories.
He married Irma D'Hooge on Aug. 4, 1928, in Harlem. She preceded him in
death
on July 4, 1977, and he later
married March Wright in 1989. She passed away in
1994.
Henry also left a very special fishing companion and friend visited him
daily, Perry Lee of Havre.
He is survived by one daughter, Theresa Swindle of Duluth, Ga.; two
sons,
Bert Tilleman and Mike Tilleman,
both of Havre; one brother, Art Tilleman of
Chinook; two sisters, Lena Berglund
of Havre and Juliet Archer of Chinook; 19
grandchildren; 26
great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one son, Paul Tilleman; one brother, Charlie
Tilleman; one sister, Mabel Bennett;
and one granddaughter, Donna Swindle.
Memorials may be sent to St, Gabriel's Catholic Church.
