Grace Irene Cron

Grace Irene Cron, 90, 728 W. Greene St., Piqua, died at Piqua Memorial Medical Center at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 1989, after a lengthy illness.

She was born in April, 1898 in Covington to Charles and Erma Longanecker Ratchford. She married Kenneth L. Cron, Nov. 29, 1924, who preceded her in death on June 13, 1969.

She and her husband were the principle owners of Cron Funeral Home, along with two brothers, John (deceased) and Robet. The funeral home began under Jackson C. Cron.

She is survied by two sons, Robert K. Cron of Piqua and Jackson C. cron of Sweet Home, Oregon; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Kell of Dayotn and Mrs. Hetty L. Fess of Bern, Ind. She was preceded in death by two sisters.

She was a member of West Minster Presbyterian Church in Piqua and the Piqua Chapter 320 Order Eastern Star.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Bridges-Stock Funeral Home, 160 N. High St., Covington, with Rev. Duncan Nichol officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
