GLORIA MILLER

  CHINOOK - Gloria (Hay) Miller, 58. died Saturday at her home of an apparent heart attack.

  Her funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church in Chinook, with burial in Kuper Memorial Cemetery. Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook is in charge od arrangements. Memorials are suggested in her name to the Western Bank, P.O. Box 9, Chinook, MT 59523.

  She was born July 7, 1942, in Harlem, and attended grade school there. She graduated from Chinook High School in 1960 as salutatorian of her class, then attended Eastern Montana College.

  After returning to Chinook, she worked for the USDA office, then the Hi-Line Herald and Havre Daily News.

  She married Howard "Chub" Miller on Dec. 1, 1968, in Nevada, and they lived in various places before returning to Chinook in 1976. She went to work for the Chinook Opinion in 1978 and worked there in various capacities until her death.

  She enjoyed reading, flowers and playing bingo.

  Her husband died in 1984

Survivors include two sons, Scott Miller of Beaofort, S.C. and Ted Miller of Havre; two daughters, Cheryl Jones of Leesville, La. and Kristin Mahns of Chinook; three brothers, Blaine Hay and William Hay of Harlem and Dick Hay of Miles City; three sisters, Mary Belle Liese of Turner and Jean Neely and Ethyle Birdwell of Havre; and five grandchildren.

GLORIA MILLER

  CHINOOK - Gloria Miller, 58. died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000 at her home in Chinook from an apparent heart attack.

  Miller was born July 7, 1942, in Harlem, to Dan and Edna (Rich) Hay. She attended grade school there and graduated from Chinook High School in 1960 as salutatorian of her class.

  Miller attended Eastern Montana College and returned to Chinook. She worked for the USDA office, then the Hi-Line Herald and Havre Daily News.

  She married Howard "Chub" Miller on Dec. 1, 1968, in Nevada. They moved around on construction jobs until moving back to Chinook in 1976. She went to work for the Chinook Opinion and worked there until her death.

  Miller enjoyed reading, raising her flowers, and playing bingo with friends.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard in 1984; her parents, and a sister, Alice Miller.

  Survivors include her sons, Scott Miller of Beaofort, S.C. and Ted Miller of Havre; daughters, Cheryl Jones of Leesville, La. and Kristin Mahns of Chinook; brothers, Blaine and William Hay of Harlem and Dick Hay of Miles City; sisters, Mary Belle Liese of Turner and Jean Neely and Ethyle Birdwell of Havre; and five grandchildren.
