GEQRGE MAJERUS

   George Majerus, 88, of Havre died Friday, June 18, 2004, at a veterans home in Glendive.

   A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Jude’s Church inHavre.

   George was born on May 1, 1916, in Morse, Mimi., to Edward Majerus and Edith Giles Majerus. His family homestead the George Majerus ranch south of Havre since 1927.

   George served in the U.S. Army from June 1942 until December 1945.

   In 1950, George married Charlotte Herron. They had one daughter, Mary Ann Majerus. Charlotte died in 1966.

   In 1968, George married Mary Prim. Mary also preceded him in death.

   George obtained his honorary high school diploma in 2003. George loved his ranch and cat­tle. He was a conscientious rancher and steward of the land. George also enjoyed hunting.

   He was a member of the VFW, Eagles, Elks, Knights of Columbus, Hill County

Conservation District, and Thangle Telephone Cooperative.

   George was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Edith Majerus; sister, Magdalene; brother, Norbert; and wives, Charlotte and Mary.

   Survivors include his daugh­ter, Mary Ann Majerus, Havre;

granddaughter, Samantha Kolkman of Havre; grandson, Samuel George Kolkman of North Richland Hills, Texas; five great-grandchildren; sister, Florence Broughy; brothers, Edward, Leonard, Frank and Giles Majerus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

   Memorials may be made to a person’s choice.

   HAVRE -- Army veteran George Majerus, 88, of Havre, a rancher, died of natural causes Friday at Eastern Montana Vets Home in Glendive. 

   His funeral is 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Jude's Church in Havre. 

   Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Majerus of Havre; a sister, Florence Broughy; brothers Edward, Leonard, Frank and Giles Majerus; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 

   He was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte (Herron) Majerus in 1966 and his second wife, Mary (Prim) Majerus.
