Freda Vogel, 88

Freda Vogel, 88, a 29 year resident of Woods Bay, passed away March 16,
2007. She was born July 20, 1918, in Cottonwood, the daughter of Frank and Othelia (Ell) Koble. Freda and
three brothers, Frank, Clarence, and Matt were raised on a farm north of Kremlin.
In her adulthood she worked the shipyards in Seattle for a short time, then
moved to Helena, working at the Parrot Confectionery and later moved to
Williston, N.D., where she farmed with her husband, Norman Johnson, as well as,
managed her own apartment complex. Freda
married Raymond Vogel in September 1977 and moved back to Kremlin. In 1978 she
retired from farm life and moved to Woods Bay becoming a member of Bethany
Lutheran Church. During her retirement she enjoyed painting, playing bridge and
gardening. Freda was
preceded in death by her parents; her brothers; and her first husband, Norman
Johnson.
Freda is survived by her husband,
Raymond Vogel of Havre; stepdaughter, Fern Larson and husband, Roger, of
Kremlin; stepson, Randy Vogel and wife, Elaine, of Townsend; sister-in-law,
Audrey Koble of Charlo; six
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; as well as a dear
friend, Lynn Weed.
Memorial services will be held at the
Bethany Lutheran Church in Bigfork at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, with Pastor
Tom Gopp officiating.
Donations may be sent to the Bethany
Lutheran Church at 8559 Hwy 35, Bigfork, MT 59911 or to a charity of your
choice in Fredas name.

BIGFORK - Freda Vogel, 88, a 29-year resident of Woods Bay, died Friday,
March 16, 2007.
Memorial services were scheduled for
10 a.m. today at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Bigfork with Pastor Tom Gopp officiating.
