FRANK J. SOHM
Funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Jude's Catholic
Church for
Frank J. Sohm, 92, of Havre. Rosary
will be recited Thursday at 7 p.m. at
Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel.
Burial will be in the Havre Cemetery. Mr. Sohm
died Tuesday in Havre. He was born
June 5, 1894 in Danbury, Iowa. He was raised
in Danbury and came to the Fresno
area west of Havre to homestead in 1914. He
returned to Danbury in 1921, where
he married Leonella Dirkx in 1922. She
preceded him in death in 1931. He
farmed near Danbury, then returned to his
Fresno land in 1933. He farmed there
until his retirement in 1974. He married
Clara Berg in Hingham in 1951.
Survivors include his wife, Clara of Havre; five
sons, Vernon of Kremlin, Claire of
Big Sandy, Eugene of Havre, Duane of Havre,
and Leon of Danbury, Iowa; a
daughter, Evonne Barkmeier of Lake City, Iowa; a
stepdaughter, Anna Mae Hunsaid of
Minot, N.D.; a stepson, Jay Berg of Lakewood,
Calif.; four sisters, Mary Bailey of
Livingston, Theresa Plenger of Helena, Ida
Trulson of Havre, and Ann Domire of
Rudyard; as well as several grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. The family
suggests memorials to the Lutheran Home of
the Good Sheppard.

Rosary was held Thursday evening at Holland & Bonine Chapel for
Frank J.
Sohm, 92, Havre.
Mr. Sohm died Oct. 14 in Havre.
Funeral Mass was held Friday morning at St. Jude's Catholic Church. Rev.
John
Harrington, S.J. officiated.
Organist was William Lisenby. David Rice sang "Amazing Grace"
and "How Great
Thou Art."
Sister Kathleen Hanley was a cantor.
Pallbearers were Tom Dahl, Wayne Brown, Clarence Pursley, Edward Cook,
Merle
Peterson and Ray Tweeten.
Ushers were Russell Blom and Uriel May.
Burial was in Highland Cemetery in Havre.
Memorials may be sent to the Lutheran Home of the Good Sheppard.
