FRANK P. SCHEND
Frank P. Schend, 76, died Thursday in a Chinook nursing home.
Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at the Edwards Funeral Chapel
with
Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday at
St. Gabriel's Catholic Church. Interment
will be in the Kuper Memorial
Cemetery.
Born in Tintah, Minn. he came to Montana with his family as a young boy.
He
attended school in Fresno and
graduated from Havre High School.
For a number of years he lived south of Kremlin on the family farm.
He married Ocie Scheldon in Havre in 1937. They lived in Havre a year
and
moved to Chinook where he was a body
repairman. In 1966 he took over the family
farm south of Kremlin.
His wife died March 18.
Survivors include two sons, Frank Jr., Great Falls and Mike, Salt Lake
City;
two daughters, Bernice Erickson,
Havre and Linda Thompson, Hamilton; a sister
Lucille Slaught, Great Falls; three
brothers, William, Great Falls, and James
and Anthony, Seattle and eight
grandchildren.

Chapel
Funeral and Mass was April 9 at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church with Father
Janson officiating. Burial was in the
Kuper Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Guy Downs, Henry Martins, Fritz Helmle, George Vande
Ven,
Bernard Thomas and Chuck Gratton.
Soloist was Robert Armstrong, with Gladys
Burkhartsmeyer, organist.
