Edward Adam Mangold, 64, died of cancer on Monday, April 6, 1998, in Everett, WA. Memorial services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 1998, in Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel in Everett.
Ed was born on March 5, 1934, in Inverness to Frank and Bernice (Sapp) Mangold. He attended Chinook High School where he played football and basket-
ball, was on the Student Council, and was a member of the Pep Club. He grad-
uated from CHS in 1952. From 1950 to 1959 Ed was a member of the National Guard, advancing to the rank of E7. He was Sargent 1st Class and Tank Commander of H Company 163rd.
He was in the insurance business for over 30 years. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid fan of the Mariners and Sonics.
Ed is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marlys of Evertt, WA; three sons, Danny and Edward Jr. of Everett, and Scott of Powell, WY; two daughters, Kimberly Falcon and Lisa King both of Great Falls; 10 grandchildren; his mother Bernice Mangold of Havre; one brother, Howard Mangold of Rudyard; four sisters, Betty Sattleen and Ruby Skoyen of Chinook, Shirley Kline of Rudyard, and Marge Stubbs of Phoenix, AZ; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank, and a brother, Bill.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
