The Late Duncan Campbell

There passed to his reward on Tuesday Dec 21st, a well known and highly respected resident of this town in the person of Mr D.W.Campbell. It isabout 40 years since he first came to this locality and 35 years ago he was married to Miss Harriet, sister of Mr Cornelius Moore, 4th con Elderslie. There were born to them a family of three, only one of whom is living, Geo of Cleveland, who was present when his father died and with his mother is left to mourn the death of a kind and loving husband and father. the late Mr Campbell had not lived in Chesley continuously for 40year but had been engaged in the manufacture of woolen goods in Mount Forest and Newton for several years. His death was due to diabetes.Deceased was a member of the Baptist Church and funeral takes place today at 2:30pm form his late residence.
