DORIS E. JONES

  Doris E. Jones, 93, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 1995, at Northern Montana

Care Center of natural causes.

  She was a Havre resident.

  A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 1995, at the Holland and

Bonine Chapel in Havre.

  Memorials are suggested to the Northern Montana Care Center.

DORIS JONES

  Doris Jones, 93, Havre, died Tuesday at a Havre care center of natural

causes. She had lived at Northern Montana Care Center since April 24, 1989.

  Memorial services are 2 p.m. Friday at Holland & Bonine Chapel with the Rev.

Christopher Brandt officiating.

  Internment of ashes will be in Highland Cemetery.

  She was born Nov. 22, 1901, in Royal, Iowa, to Samuel and Ida Jane (Richards)

Lucas. She came to Montana as a young girl with her parents who homesteaded

north of Havre. She attended a rural school north of Havre.

  On Sept. 20, 1920, in Havre, she married George Deppmeier. The couple lived

north of Havre until the fall of 1927 when they moved to Havre. He left in 1941

and the couple later divorced.

  She worked at Deaconess Hospital in Havre in 1941; first in the laundry and

then the kitchen. She continued to work there until she retired in 1967.

  In June 1952, she married Cedric Cassidy. He died in Jun, 1966.

  In April, 1969 she married Evan Jones. He also precedes her in death.

  She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxilary and the St. Paul Lutheran Church,

both in Havre.

  Besides her husbands, she was preceeded in death by one son, three

grandchildren, one sister and three brothers.

  She is survived by two daughters, Miriam Kinzel of Harlem and Phyllis Robins

of Santa Rosa, Calif.; five sons, Edwin Deppmeier of Havre, Lynn Deppmeier of

Box Elder, Virgil Deppmeier of Los Altos, Calif., Gilbert Deppmeier of Kila,

and Larry Deppmeier of Big Arm; one sister, Marjorie Lanius of Havre; 31

grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

  Memorials may be sent to Northern Montana Care Center of Havre.

  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
