Donel Gorman
Donel Wayne Gorman,
80,
died of natural causes on Thursday, September 5, 2002, in Redmond, OR. A graveside
service was held in the Williamette National Cemetery in Portland on Monday,
September 9, at 2:00 p.m. Autunm Funerals was in charge of arrangements.
Don
was born on November 30, 1921, in Chinook to Donel and Emma (Neimiller) Gorman.
During World War 11 he served in the U.S. Navy.
He
was a petroleum engineer and worked in the oil fields most of his life,
retiring at the age of
62. Being a small time rancher was an
occupation he enjoyed on the side, and he was proud of the Arabian and quarter
horses he raised. He loved his family.
He
lived in Montana until the early 1970s, when he moved to Douglas, WY. In 1998
he moved from Douglas to Redmond, OR.
Survivors
include three sons, Randy E. Gorman of Vancouver, WA, Ronald L. Gorman of Tampa
Bay, FL, and Donald D. Gorman of Nevada; one brother, Jim Gorman; ρve sisters,
Deane, Joan, Ruth, Loretta and Pauline; four grandchildren and several great
grandchildren.
Besides
his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Ruth Alice; and two
brothers, John and Harold.
