CHRISTINE HANSES obituary HINGHAM

    Christine (Burkhartsmeyer) Hanses, age 96, a farmwife who enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, crocheting, reading, playing cards and crossword puzzles, died of natural causes on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at the Northern Montana Care Center in Havre.
    She donated her body to the W. W.A.M.I. Medical Education Program at Montana State University in Bozeman. She requested that no formal funeral services be held.

    Rockman Funeral Chapel of Chester handled her bequeathal details.

    She is survived by two sons, Joe Hanses of Shiprock, N.M., and Mike Hanses of Zillah, Wash.; four daughters, Carolyn Hauser of Gildford, Rose-Marie Carruthers of Camas, Wash., Kathleen Mallette of Shelby, and Chris Hanses of Arkansas; one brother, “Burk” Burkhartsmeyer of Chinook; 19 grandchildren and many greatgrandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Joe Hanses in 1978; daughter, Betty-Jo Riley; sister, Katherine Yeager; and brother, Mike Burkhartsmeyer.
