BRANT SHANKLE

 

  Brant E. Shank;e, 36, passed away at his home in Green Valley, AZ on January 8, 1999, after a valiant battle with cancer. Cremation has taken place and memorial service will be held ta 10:00 a.m. in the St. Francis-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church in Green Valley on Wednesday, January 13, 1999. In lieu of flowers, memorials  may be sent to Dexter and Emma College Fund, % Westamerica Bank, P.O. Box 47, Novato, CA 94948.

  Brant was born on November 18, 1962, in the Sacred Heart Hospital in Havre to Harold Dexter "Joe" and Karen (Graham) Shankle of Chinook. He began his schooling at the Meadowlark School in Chinook in 1968. In 1971 the family moved to Billings, MT and Brant completed his education there, graduating from Billings High School in 1981. He graduated from the School of Mines in Butte.

  He loved his work as a mining engineer for ASARCO and was especially proud of the Overland Conveyor project he helped establish and run.

  In 1989 Brant married his highschool sweetheard, Kelly. He loved his family life at home with her and their two children. Everyone who knew him will miss his quick wit and gentle smile.

  Survivors include his wife Kelly, son Dexter (8) and daughter Emma (3) of Green Valley; his mother, Karen Dooley of billings; his brother, Kelly of Minnesota; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

  He was preceded in death by his father who on February 27, 1986; his maternal grandparents, "Curly" and Julia graham; and his paternal grandparents, Harold Shankle and Pearl (Shankle) Terbovitz.
