   Arthur R. Latray, 74, of Lewistown, died Sunday evening at the Central Montana Hospital after an extended illness.

   Latray was born June 1, 1905 at Gilt Edge, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Latray. He received his education in the Gilt Edge and Fort Belnap schools and had lived most of his life in and around Montana. He was

employed most of his life as a carpenter and ranch hand and also was employed in the construction field.

   On Aug 16, 1931, he was united in marriage to Stella Haggerty

in Chinook.

   Latray was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church and a veteran of World War II.

   He is survived by his wife, Stella Latray of Kalispell; two sons, Don of Lewistown and Robert of Phoenix, Az; two daughters, Pokie Van Klinken of Redding, Ca. and Marlene Stulc of Lewistown; one brother, Pat of Cut Bank; three sisters, Irene Bachmeire of Butte, Rose Rattey of Dodson and Jess Olson of Whitehall; 13 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

   He is proceded in death by his mother and one son.

   Mass of the Resurrection for Latray will be from St. Leo's Catholic Church, Thursday morning. Father Dick Osterman will officiate

with internment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens of Lewistown.

   Friends will meet at the Cloyd Chapel Wednesday evening at 8pm for the Rosary service. Friends wishing to do so may make memorials to the

American Cancer Society and may be left at  the funeral home.
