Blanche D. Reynolds


  HAVRE -- Blanche D. (Sticka) Reynolds, 92, a former teacher and Laredo resident, died of natural causes Thursday at a Havre care center.

  A vigil service is 7 p.m. Sunday at Holland & Bonine Funeral Home chapel. Funeral Mass is 1 p.m. Monday at St. Jude Catholic Church, with burial in Highland Cemetery. A fellowship reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall at St. Jude Catholic Church.

  Survivors include sisters Patricia Robinson of Tehachapi, Calif., Jean Fox of Helena and Joan Lamey and Marion Loveland of Havre.

  Her husband, Arthur J. Reynolds, died in 1980.

BLANCHE REYNOLDS      

           

   Blanche D. Reynolds, 92, died Jan. 10, 2002, at a Havre care center of natural causes.    A Vigil service in her honor was Sunday Jan. 13, 2002, at 7 p.m. at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel, 210 Third St., Havre. The funeral Mass was scheduled for 1 p.m., today at St. Jude Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert D. Grosch officiating.   

  A committal service will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Havre. After the committal service there will be a fellowship reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall at St. Jude Catholic Church.   

  Blanche was born June 9, 1909, to Anton and Ida (Daniel) Sticka, in Carlos, Minn. At the age of 4 she moved with her family to homestead near Laredo. She still owns the original Sticka homestead. She attended school in Havre and graduated from Havre High School in 1928. She then attended college in Dillon and graduated in 1930 with a teaching degree. She taught at the St. Joe school for two years and then at the Laredo school.   

  In 1934 she married Arthur J. Reynolds in Deer Lodge. The couple lived in Havre and then in Laredo. In 1978 the couple moved to Havre, and Arthur preceded her in death in 1980.   

  Blanche was a member of the Catholic Daughters and the St. Jude Catholic Church. She loved to play pinochle, work in the garden, and square dance.   

  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur J. Reynolds in 1980; brothers, Leo, Raymond and Joe Sticka, sister Ethel McLain.   

  She is survived by her sisters, Patricia Robinson of Tehachapi, Calif., Jean Fox of Helena, Joan Lamey and Marion Loveland, both of Havre; and many nieces and nephews.   

  Memorials in Blanche’s honor may be made to St. Jude School St. Jude Catholic Church, 624 Fourth St., Havre, MT 59501.   

  Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
