BERNICE A. MANGOLD

  CHINOOK - Bernice A. (Sapp) Mangold, 85, died of natural causes Friday at a Havre Care center.

  Memorial services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Inverness, with burial of ashes in Inverness Cemetery. Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook is in charge of cremation and arrangements.

  She was born Sept. 13, 1912, in Devils Lake, N.D., and attended schools in Gilford.

  In 1929 she married Frank Mangold in Havre. They farmed near Inverness for a number of years, spending their winters in

Phoenix, Mesa, and Cottonwood, Ariz.

  She was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Chinook and a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Inverness.

  Her husband died in 1985.

Survivors include a son, Howard Mangold of Rudyard; four daughters, Betty Sattleen and Ruby Skoyen of Chinook, Shirley Kline of Rudyard and Marjorie Subbs of Phoenix; three brothers, Edwin Sapp of Great Falls and Henry Sapp and Larry Sapp of Havre; two sisters, Glenna Engdhal of Minnesota and Faye Dudeck of Havre; 22 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.

  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Edward Mangold and Bill Mangold.

  Memorial services will be Wednesday, April 22, at 11 a.m. in Inverness at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial cremated remains in the Inverness Cemetery.

  Bernice was born to Edward and Jenny (Fahacy) Sapp on September 13, 1912, in Derrick, North Dakota. She attended schools in Gilford and married Frank Mangold on Sept. 21, 1929, in Havre. They farmed near Inverness for a number of years, spending their winters in Phoenix, Mesa, and Cottonwood, Ariz. Bernice was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Chinook and former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Inverness.

 Survivors include one son, Howard Mangold of Rudyard; four daughters, Betty Sattleen and Ruby Skoyen both of Chinook, Shirley Kline of Rudyard and Marjorie Subbs of Phoenix, AZ; 22 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Edwin Sapp of Great Falls, and Henry and Larry Sapp of Havre; two sisters, Glenna Engdhal of Minnesota and Faye Dudeck of Havre;

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank in 1985 , two sons, Edward  and Bill; one brother and four sisters.

  Memorials are suggested to the Gift of Life Housing in Great Falls.
