BEN V. MUELLER

  Funeral services for Ben V. Mueller, 64, a longtime Hill County resident, are

scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at the Holland & Bonine Chapel in Havre, with

burial in the Highland Cemetery. Mr Mueller died Tuesday in a Havre Hospital

following a lengthy illness.

  Born in Havre March 9, 1921, Mr Mueller was the youngest child of Hill County

homesteaders Bill and Anna Mueller of the cottonwood community.

  He attended schools in Cottonwood and Havre and became well-known in the area

for his work in auto mechanics. He worked for Heltne's  and the Studebaker

company for many years and then served as maintenance forman for Vita-Rich

Dairy from 1960 until he retired in 1984.

  Mr Mueller married Doris Pasma in December 1944 and the couple had two sons.

He was a member of the Eagles and was a charter member and served on the board

of directors of the Havre Saddle Club. He was preceded in death by his parents

and 10 brothers and sisters.

  Mr Mueller is survived by his wife; two sons, Gary of Havre abd Dr Dale

Mueller of Taccoma, Wash.; a sister, Lillian Friesen of Glasgow; and two

grandchildren.

  The family has requested memorials to be send to the Hill County Chapter of

the American Cancer Society.
